Credit repair is actually the slowest, least effective way to raise credit scores! Deleting negative items will get you no more than 1/4th to 1/2 of the credit score gain possible.
The reason is that as negative items get older and older, they affect the credit scores less and less. Delete a collection account that's one month old, and the score will go up 20-35 points. Delete a 3-5 year old collection and the score goes up maybe 2-6 points only!
To raise credit scores you need to have the right kinds of recent good credit to get your scores as high as possible. You need exactly the kinds of credit that no one will give to you because your credit scores are low!
That's why people have such a hard time getting their scores into the upper 600's or 700's using credit repair alone. |
